Remanent Tape Magnetization

If you put a piece of magnetic tape in a recording field, and then remove it, some magnetic field will remain on the tape. The strength of that magnetic field is called the remanent tape magnetization. It's measured in amperes per meter (A/m) and it's abbreviated $M_{r}$.
